About this tool

What Split PDF does

Split PDF extracts specific pages or ranges into a new document. Enter selections such as 1-3, 6, 9-12 and the browser copies only those pages. This is useful for sharing one chapter, separating an attachment, or removing unrelated pages.

Practical example

A realistic way to use it

For a 20-page report, entering “1-2, 8, 15-18” creates a seven-page document in ascending selected order.

Know before you use it

Supported workflow and limitations

  • The tool creates one selected-pages PDF rather than a separate file for every page.
  • Encrypted PDFs are not supported unless first unlocked with permission.

Common questions

Split PDF FAQ

How do I select page ranges?+

Use a hyphen for a range and commas between selections, such as 1-3, 7, 10-12.

Does splitting reduce quality?+

Pages are copied into a new PDF rather than rendered as images, so normal page quality is retained.

Are my PDF uploaded to Talzo?+

No. Talzo processes your PDF inside your browser. The private input is not sent to our server.

Can I extract one page?+

Yes. Enter a single page number such as 5.

Can I change page order while splitting?+

This tool deduplicates and extracts selected pages in ascending order. Use Organize PDF for a custom sequence.
